Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement 14 inch white steel wheel for your Demco Kar Kaddy Tow Dolly. Now, this wheel here is gonna replace the white steel wheel that's on your Demco Kar Kaddy 3 Tow Dolly. Also fits the Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly and the Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly. The size on this wheel, the diameter, which is measured inside to inside straight across, is 14 inches. A width, which will be measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, 5 1/2 inches.
Bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And the weight capacity is 2,040 pounds. Pilot hole diameter, which is the diameter of this hole here in the center of the wheel, 2.84 inches. And this wheel has a offset of positive 42 millimeters. And if you're not familiar with offset, offset is the measurement where this mounting surface that goes up against the hub on your tow dolly.
If this mounting surface is right at the center of the wheel, that's a zero, so that's the starting point. If this mounting surface moves to the outside of the wheel, that's positive offset. If it moves to the inside of the wheel, that's negative offset. This one here is gonna have a positive 42 millimeters. So what that's saying is this mounting surface here, from the center line, is gonna be 42 millimeters to the outside.
A tow doll usually will require a wheel with a high positive offset. And the high positive offset is gonna position that mounting surface on the outside of the wheel center line, and it moves the tires closer to the tow dolly. Now, Demco does recommend a tire size of ST, special trailer, 205/75R14, radial trailer tire, with a Load Range C for their Kar Kaddy Tow Dollies. We do sell that tire separately also, goes by a part number of AM10234. This part here will include just the one replacement wheel.

Fits my Demco Kar Kaddy KK 260 perfectly. This one has holes where as original wheel is triangle slots. But I just needed it for a spare tire.

Yes I received the replacement wheel and if it were the exact replacement wheel as was implied I would not complain about the ridiculously high price almost $[XX]
But as I am certain you are aware the Wheel altho appears like it will work by all dimensions it is shaped differently and the paint color is wrong this definitely is not a match to the original. For what this is the price is robbery $[XX] or less
would Be an appropriate price. I will use it as a spare and not on my Kar-kaddy itself because the quality probably matches the original as much as the appearance does. The original altho slightly damaged is probably safer To use than this “very expensive replacement. I am very disappointed and will avoid your establishment if possible in the future.

I already have a new Goodyear Endurance tire mounted on the wheel. Admittedly, not chrome like the ones on the Kar Kaddy SS that I have, but is just fine for the dreaded prospect of having a flat or damaged tire on the road.
The packaging is in good shape yet the wheel has chipped areas in the finish.
Just like the originals but very expens ive.
Item is as described. Arrived carefully packaged and well wrapped. This will be used as a spare for my Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly. I would recommend ordering both the wheel and the tire if you need a spare. The mounting and price for a local tire ended up costing more that the etrailer wheel and tire.
Looks correct and will purchase again when needed.
I received this yesterday and today I had my new tire mounted on it. It mounts to my spare tire carrier nicely. I just wish I could have bought the mount and cover from etrailer.com as well.
I purchased this wheel to be used as a spare tire for my Demco Kar Kaddy SS. Although this rim is for the Kar Kaddy 3, etrailer's description was excellent letting me know this lower priced rim would fit my "SS" model. The wheel arrived as forecasted and is in excellent condition. I have never encountered any issues ordering from etrailer and will continue to do so.
